CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

A pathway for every stage of life.

My Story Matters curricula support identity, emotional awareness, accountability, and practical application from childhood through adulthood.

Every Story Holds the Potential for Change.

CYS overview 1.mp4

At My Story Matters, we believe every individual has the capacity to grow, change, and intentionally create a life of meaning and purpose. Our past experiences may shape how we see ourselves and the world around us, but they do not have to determine who we become or what we create next.

Rooted in the Creator’s Framework®, our curricula help individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, identity, choices, and outcomes. Through practical tools and intentional application, participants learn to recognize patterns, regulate their responses, strengthen personal accountability, and build a vision for the future they want to create.

Our approach is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: Lasting change begins within. Rather than telling people what to do or who to become, we equip them with the awareness, tools, and capacity to take ownership of their own journey.

Because when people begin to see themselves differently, they open the door to living differently.

Evidence-Informed by Design

The Foundation Behind Our Approach:

Our curricula are rooted in the Creator’s Framework®, an evidence-informed approach integrating established principles from neuroscience, psychology, behavioral science, and experiential learning.

Drawing on research related to identity, emotional regulation, neuroplasticity, motivation, and behavior change, we translate complex concepts into accessible, practical tools. Participants move beyond simply understanding information to practicing new ways of thinking, responding, and engaging with their lives.

Our emphasis is on building capabilities that can be applied consistently across relationships, education, employment, family life, and personal growth.

Trauma-Informed in Practice

We recognize that experiences of adversity, trauma, and prolonged stress can influence how individuals see themselves, interpret situations, manage emotions, and respond to the world around them.

Our trauma-informed approach prioritizes emotional safety, choice, empowerment, and personal agency. Participants are never required to disclose or revisit painful experiences to benefit from the curriculum. Instead, they develop awareness of how past experiences may influence present patterns while strengthening their ability to recognize, regulate, and intentionally respond. We do not define people by what has happened to them. We help them discover their capacity to create what happens next.

Rather than focusing on what’s wrong, we build on what’s strong.
